Unofficial Team Standings

Unofficial Results- TEAM

TBD.

Next weekend the doubles and singles events will begin, with some of the bowlers having their sites on All Events as well. You can expect the pins to fly, and the smack talking to begin when most of the bowlers know what to expect at Rynish Lanes. Good luck.

(note: all standings are unofficial until verified by tournament director)

Erickson still heating it up at Sunset

Chalk up another honor score (or 2) for Jim Erickson. I am told he shot 290 and an 804 series. Final games of other two games are unknown. This makes a handful of 800's , a pleathora of 300's, and a whole lot of 11 in a rows... We are running out of adjectives for his remarkable season. Great shooting.

2012 LCBA Championships Unofficial Standings

Link to Team Event stats as of  Feb 17, 2012

On opening day of the LCBA Championships, we find our team handicap leader "Strikers 2" out of Waukegan with 3424.
Leading the scratch division is Fairhaven Lanes out of Mundelein with 3153. Some memorable scores were-  Justin Lang with 11 in a row, as well as a 300 shot by Nick Bruser.
With the bar set, and some heavy hitters coming in Sunday, we will see if Rynish Lanes can be favorable to Fatman's, who are coming to defend their scratch team title.
There will be only one squad on Sunday, but there only needs to be one team with enough swagger, determination, or sure "carry" to pass either division.

-update 2-12:  After the first weekend now in the books, "Strikers2" is still in the lead of the handicap division. The new leaders in the scratch division are "2 Robs Don't Make A Right," with 3194.
Stay tuned next weekend for the big finish of the team event, featuring a Friday night squad, as well as a flurry of squads Saturday and Sunday.
-Update 2-17: With 10 teams bowling on the Friday night squad, there was bound to be some action at Rynish Lanes after a long days work. Winchester medical did not disappoint. With their scratch score of 3290 and handicap of 3333, they vaulted into the scratch team lead, and are currently in second on the handicap side. (scratch optional has not been updated) There were several teams which made the top ten on Friday, including Sunset Bowl and Elks from Bertrands.
There are sure to be some fireworks over the weekend when the final two days of team are to be concluded on Sunday.

Lakeside Lanes wins Proprietors Challenge 2012

Congrats to Lakeside Lanes for besting 7 other teams this past Sunday in the 5th Annual LCBA Proprietors Challenge. Beating 7 other teams in a Baker style match play tournament was not easy, as they had to go through a field of teams consisting of 5 of some of the best bowlers from each house. Finishing in the top three were 1- Lakeside Lanes 2- Antioch Lanes - 3 Sunset Bowl. Those who did not win are all in the same boat in this "Winner Take All" format. The top three teams did make it to round two, where the winners were decided by a two game total pins match. Lakeside Lanes defeated Sunset Bowl, and then proceeded to beat the top seed Antioch who had held that spot for practically the whole tournament...

Good bowling to all.
