Ron Blomberg / Meritorious Service
Ron was the secretary of the Waukegan Majors League for over 20 years and secretary of the Fraternal League for over 30 years. He also served over 30 years on the LCBA board and achieved Life Status as a Past President. Ron also has many achievements on the lanes carrying a 195+ average for many years, with numerous 700 series and on November 4, 1960, he bowled a perfect game at Bertrand Lanes.
Jim Servis / Libertyville, IL / Performance
Jim began bowling in 1975 at the age of 32 while stationed in Iceland averaging 145 that season. By his third season, his average climbed to 190 and has only improved since then. While in Iceland, Jim served as a director of the Iceland YABA from 1980-85 and served as president of the Iceland Bowling Association from 1983-85. Jim has four 300 games with a high series of 792 and a high average of 219. He is a member of the 1978 Fleet Team Champions from Norfolk, VA, a LCBA Championship Tournament Doubles champion, a Gold medalist in the team event in the 1989 Olympic Festival, an All-Military Champion in 1990, a Team USA National finalist in 1989 and 1990, the Navy Athlete of the Year in 1990 for bowling, a IBA Singles Champion in 1994 along with the distinction of being the first person to bowl a 300 game in the country of Iceland.
